Anime Recap
Members of the podcast discuss the latest episodes of the One Piece anime available simulcasted at OnePieceOfficial.com and available at Hulu.com. The staff goes through the episode, dissects it, and argues about it. This segment has gone through episodes 404 on to cover parts of the Saobody Archipelago Arc, the Amazon Lily Arc, and is currently exploring the Impel Down Arc. In the future we hope to discuss episodes that aired before episode 404, but that is still to be decided.
Manga Recap
During this segment we dissect the latest chapters of the manga to arrive from Japan and discuss its implications on the rest of the series. We go over what happened in the chapter and discuss every detail and argue about what exactly is going on. This segment has been part of our podcast since the very beginning. We began the manga recap section at chapter 544 during the middle of the Impel Down arc, and continue to cover the extremely chaotic Marineford arc and the future of the series One Piece.

The Piece Together segment brings comments and questions from our fans and fans of One Piece to the fore. We answer questions, discuss comments that are posted on our website, our forums (forums.onepiecepodcast.com), or anywhere else where we have social networking capabilities. Flashback
We go back to each arc. We give a synopsis of the arc and go through what made it good, bad, or neither. We go through this segment once every couple of weeks, often paired with information about how you can buy the arcs discussed. We have covered the East Blue Saga thusfar, and are currently covering the Baroque Works Saga. It’s a huge of an adventure, sit tight as we start from the beginning! This segment does not air every week, but we try and get to it as often as we can so that old fans could hear exactly what makes or breaks these early arcs.
Piece by Piece
We pick a topic and discuss it. On this segment we take a topic that is relevant in the One Piece/anime community for that week and delve into it. Often these segments are led by a particular news event and have covered such subjects as One Piece and YouTube, translations in the One Piece sub, and much more. This segment has featured cast members like Sketch, Demon Rin, and others and has brought light to subjects we normally wouldn’t think much of.
Review
On this segment we go through the Funimation DVDs, the One Piece video games (including Gamecube games, and games not available in the United States), manga volumes, and anything else that has been published under the name “One Piece”. We rate and review and tell you if it’s worth the purchase. Trust me, it probably will be.
Encyclopedia
The encyclopedia segment gives us a chance to explain terms, characters, themes, or other major aspects of One Piece and delve into why they’re important in the series. We have gone over organizations like the Marines, the Revolutionaries, and more, as well as less defined areas such as the geographic details of the One Piece world. The information in this segment is usually pertinent to the manga or anime recap we air on that episode.
Spoilercast
This segment goes through the manga before the manga comes out. We take the little pieces of information and images that we get about the chapter ahead of time and speculate, speculate, speculate. This segment is only for those who can stand all the ahead-of-time information.
The Spoilercast segment has been put on hold until Zach and Ed read spoilers again, since we cannot know when that will happen again, this segment will be on hold indefinitely. We hope to have it back down the road again.
Greg no Gougai
Extra! Extra! with Greg discusses the news directly from Japan. Greg from thegrandline.com each week goes through the latest from One Piece’s home. We get the chance to delve into particular issues in depth, see what products arise in Japan, and much more.
